Since their formation in 1974, Harrogate Chamber Singers have established a reputation for performing choral music to a consistently high standard. They have given many concerts throughout the local area. The choir has also made a number of recordings and has broadcast on radio and television.

The repertoire is wide-ranging, including music from the Renaissance to the present day. The choir sings mainly 'a cappella', but has performed several large scale works with orchestra.

From serious church music to performances of a more light-hearted nature, the Chamber Singers can vary their style to match the mood. Whether in the concert hall or at a private dinner party, the choir is careful to adjust to the ambience of the venue, while still maintaining an excellent choral standard.

The members, who number around 36, come from all walks of life, with a wide range of choral experience, but they are united in their commitment to performing music to the highest quality. Rehearsals are normally held on Mondays at 7.30pm during term time, at St. Wilfrid's Church, Duchy Road, Harrogate. The choir is grateful to the clergy and PCC for the facilities which they provide.
