Harrogate Chamber Singers is an amateur choir with a professional outlook.

The choir is a registered charity, its main aim being to provide assistance for other charitable organisations. It does so either by direct donation from concert receipts and fees obtained from singing at various functions, or, preferably by providing music for specific fund raising events.

If Harrogate Chambers Singers can help you raise funds for charity by arranging a performance to suit your needs please contact us.

Since joining us as choral director in February 2002, Tim Knight has continued to broaden the scope of the choir's repertoire. His first year culminated in a highly successful Christmas concert in aid of Candlelighters. This has since become an annual event, and St Wilfrid's Church in Harrogate is already booked for another splendid evening of Christmas music and readings on 12th December 2004.

The choir is making its first overseas tour in May 2004 to Gouda as guests of Christelijk Vocaal Ensemble Cantare whom we met on their visit to Yorkshire in 2003.

Enquiries from singers wishing to join the choir are always welcome. Prospective members are expected to attend six probationary rehearsals and there will be a short audition during this period. Please contact us.
